Bec - Director

Bec is a warm, experienced and strong educational leader. As the nominated supervisor, teacher and educational leader, she supports our entire staff team to create safe, inclusive and engaging learning environments.

Bec focuses on:

  • Supporting reflective teamwork and guiding high-quality teaching practice.

  • Shaping engaging, play-based environments based on children's strengths and interests.

  • Nurturing capable, curious learners and supporting educator growth.

3 year old team - Amali, Bec and Connie

This team creates a calm, nurturing environment where children feel safe, supported, and ready to explore.

  • Relationship building: Building warm, trusting relationships with children and families.

  • Support: Fostering emotional confidence through co-regulation, kindness, and open communication.

  • Learning: Thoughtfully set-up spaces encourage curiosity, independence, and joyful play.

  • Experience: Led by Bec (5+ years at Warrandyte) and supported by educators with over a decade of combined experience.

4 year old team - Fiona, Laura and Amali

The 4 year old team prepares children for school through stimulating, imaginative, and supportive learning.

  • Learning spaces: Stimulating and imaginative spaces challenge and inspire children.

  • Development: Supporting children to navigate friendships, develop resilience, and strengthen emotional regulation.

  • Curriculum: Literacy, numeracy, creativity, and problem-solving naturally emerge through rich, purposeful play.

  • School readiness: Creating a safe, engaging, and supportive environment for a confident transition to school.

  • Experience: Led by Fiona, an experienced kinder teacher with 15+ years in the community.

Extended care team - Wei

Our extended care and kinder play offer a warm, relaxed, and fun continuation of the kinder day.

The team focus on:

  • Smooth transition: Providing a smooth, enjoyable transition into the afternoon program.

  • Atmosphere: Fun, welcoming, and relaxed.

  • Care: Educators build strong relationships with children and families through genuine connection and energy.

  • Activities (child-led): Children enjoy a variety of high-quality, play-based experiences, including: cooking and sensory play, cultural celebrations and arts and crafts, messy play and outdoor games, quiet spaces.

Administration and support

The administration role provides clear information about enrolments, supports families with administrative tasks and helps them navigate kinder processes with ease. Our Administrator ensures communication is warm and consistent, contributing to the strong connections and positive experiences that families value within our community. Marta, who is currently in this role, is a warm and welcoming presence at the kinder. Approachable, friendly and passionate about her work, she ensures families feel supported from their very first interaction with Warrandyte Kindergarten.
