I have worked in the early childhood industry for over 30 years and the thing I enjoy the most is the sense of community here at Warrandyte. I love helping your children to learn and grow, build skills and explore the wider world through our community engagement activities. It is the moment reflected in a child's face when they suddenly get a new concept that gives me the most pleasure. I love being in the outdoor environment and am passionate about children learning to live a sustainable, healthy life through growing fresh food, cooking and connecting to the country through outdoor play

My name is Wei and I have worked in early childhood industry for five years. I have been worked in different aged group from 0-5 years. This year, I am so happy to be part of the Warrandyte Kindergarten. I enjoy the time with both 3 years and 4 years during the extended care time. I always put child’s interest and wellbeing as my priorities. During the children’s early years, I agree children are learning through playing. I love cooking and really enjoy making some traditional food for my family and friends.

I am an experienced Early Childhood Teacher of 15 years who has now undertaken the role of Administration Officer at Warrandyte Kindergarten. I am able to share my knowledge and experience of the Early Childhood sector to undertake all administrative tasks and work and support the teachers and committee to fulfil all regulatory requirements to run the kindergarten. I have a passion for Early Childhood and have loved taking on this different role whilst still working with families and children.

I have worked in the Early Childhood industry since 2020, taking a year off on Maternity Leave. I have a strong passion for working with children, helping them develop the skills that are essential for their journey through life. I love assisting the children to work on a task and seeing the joy in their faces when they complete it. I value the strong sense of community one gets from the children, families and staff at Warrandyte Kindergarten, it makes my work even more enjoyable.
On the weekends I love spending time with my son and my family, following AFL and getting outdoors when the weather permits.
